BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF OCEAN COUNTY invites you to “Bowl for Kids’ Sake”, March 18th, 10am at Playdrome in Toms River; and March 25th, 12pm at Thunderbird Lanes in Manahawkin.  This event is an easy way to make a contribution that helps BBBS put caring mentors into the lives of children.  Please call 732-905-5349 for more information.

THE BRICK BRANCH OF THE OCEAN COUNTY LIBRARY offers the following programs in March: Tues. 6th, 6pm, The 5 Facets to Health and Wellness; Thurs. 8th, 7pm, Divorce in Ocean/Monmouth Counties; Thurs. 13th, 6:30pm,Tech Talk: Buying a PC, take the mystery out of buying a home computer. Sat. 17th, 11am-3pm, Be Strong! Be Real! Be You!  All day women’s empowerment session led by a certified yoga instructor. Females from the ages 12-18 only. The Dr. Ted Leoniak Student Wellness Committee will host the first BRICK DARE TO BE FIT FAMILY WALK FOR FITNESS on Saturday, May 5th from 10 am – noon, rain or shine, at the Drum Point Sports Complex, 303 Brick Blvd.  The event is open to all school-age children in Brick Township and their families.  There is a $5 entry fee per student (parents and non-school age children are free) with proceeds remaining within each individual school to offset the costs of ongoing fitness and nutrition programs. Volunteers from the Optimist Club will be on hand to record mileage as schools compete to see which one can log the most miles walked.  Registrations forms will be available in each school and the deadline for pre-registration is May 1st. Games, drawings and prizes will be a part of this fun day of fitness for the whole family.

THE BRICK OPTIMIST CLUB will be hosting their 2nd Annual Art Auction to benefit Brick Twp. Paul V. Dr. Daniel J. THE JERSEY SHORE COUNCIL, BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA welcomes Robert C. Warner as its President for 2007 as well as its other newly elected Board members who will serve Jersey Shore youth during the year.  The Jersey Shore Council, with Scout Service Centers in Toms River and Egg Harbor Twp., serves 15,000 youth and adult volunteers.  To learn more about Scouting visit www.jerseyshore-bsa.org.
